Books by a tutor who still teaches every week.
MathTestPrep is the book imprint of Harish R — math tutor, scientist, and the person behind Louisville Learns.
Harish R — tutor and scientist
Harish R tutors math — SAT, PSAT, ACT, and general math — in Louisville, Kentucky and online, through Louisville Learns. He is also a molecular biologist, and he brings both halves of that life to these books: a tutor’s eye for what actually trips students up, and a scientist’s habit of checking every answer before it ships.
MathTestPrep started as the materials he built for his own students: practice sets calibrated to the real test, with every question answered and every trap named. The books on this site are those materials, polished for anyone to use.
The MathTestPrep standard
- Verified answers. Every math answer is checked symbolically before a book ships — no answer-key errors.
- Real-test calibration. Question types, format, and difficulty are mapped against official PSAT, SAT, and ACT material.
- Two ways to win. Math questions teach the worked solution plus a Desmos Path, or a Faster-by-Hand note when pencil beats the calculator.
- Honest about how it’s made. Content is selected, verified, and reviewed by Harish R — with AI-assisted drafting and layout. The books are not affiliated with or endorsed by the College Board or ACT, Inc.
For tutoring — 1-on-1, $75/hour, with a free 20-minute first mini session — visit Louisville Learns. For the books, the shelf is on the homepage and in the Etsy shop.
